Health Visiting
Team
Leslie Nankivell RGN RM RHV Health Visitor
We are based at the Health Centre and can be contacted on
434782 Monday-Friday 8.30 a.m. - 4.30 p.m.
Health Visitors are registered nurses with additional
experience in other specialities. We all work together as members of the Primary
Health Care Team.
Health visiting teams are well placed to identify patterns and causes of ill
health and join with others to tackle them
Our philosophy is to provide easy access to our service both at the surgery and
through our confidential and supportive home visiting.
Our aim is to enable individuals and their families to lead healthier and
happier lives by delivering a range of care from parenting to public health
practice both in the home and community setting.
We hold many groups at the Health Centre including baby clinics, breast-feeding
support group and post-natal support group.
Our work involves liaison with general practitioners, midwives, district nurses
and statutory and voluntary agencies such as the Beacon Partnership, Sure Start
and Social Services.
