Dr Stephanie Jackson

I was born
in Swansea and studied medicine and history of art in Cambridge and then went to
The London Hospital Medical School to qualify in 1995. I have worked in
Scotland, New Zealand, India and Greenland: gaining a broad experience in a
range of specialities, doing voluntary work for the Tibetan Government in Exile,
and being an expedition doctor for BSES. Further medical studies have included
the Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, high altitude medicine, BMAS basic
acupuncture and the MRCGP.
I have an interest in CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) and have
massage, holistic pulsing, Reiki and Maori healing and herbalism qualifications.
I qualified as an Integrative Yoga Therapist in 1998 and have enjoyed teaching
yoga ever since. I worked as an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of
Complementary Medicine, University of Exeter for 6 months which was both
stimulating and useful.
I first worked in Cornwall in 1996 at Treliske A&E and thoroughly enjoyed it. I
returned in 2001 and have now set up home here. My husband Brett runs Swamp
Circus which does both charity work in the community and professional touring
shows ( www.swampcircus.com ). I am on
the administrative team for Chyan Community field near Halvasso (
www.chyan.co.uk ). We have a
wonderful daughter who is soon to be one years old.
