I am delighted to be living and working in my home town. I attended Falmouth School and trained to be a doctor in Southampton before working in Bath, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Truro. Alongside training as a general practitioner I became attracted to mental health issues and became a specialist in psychiatry. I developed an interest in psychological approaches to problems and also trained in clinical hypnosis.  
 
I returned to Cornwall in the year 2000 with my wife Kate and my son Elliot. Our daughter Poppy then arrived on the scene and as a family we make the most of living by the sea, in the town we love. I try to keep fit by playing squash, running and watching what I eat!  When I get the chance, I enjoy socialising with friends and listening to live music.
