Andrew C Seaman Mb ChB (Bristol) 1976

I was born in Cardiff in 1953 and spent my childhood in Penarth
on the South Wales Coast.
I left in 1971 to commence my medical training at Bristol University. During my
final year I was lucky enough to be given a medical student G.P. attachment in
Padstow and it was during this happy introduction to General Practice that I
discovered what a wonderful county Cornwall is.
On qualifying I returned to Devon and Cornwall working in Torbay and Treliske
Hospitals and subsequently returned to Bristol to study Anaesthetics for a year.
After a period helping in a Hospital in Southern India I started my G.P.
vocational training in Cornwall. Over the following three years I gained further
valuable experience in General medicine, Paediatrics, Geriatrics, Psychiatry,
Obstetrics and casualty work. I then spent a Registrar year in a large semi
rural practice in Bodmin before settling in Falmouth in 1982.
In addition to my General Practice duties I am a Clinical Assistant in Geriatric
Medicine and have been approved by the Health and Safety Executive as a medical
Examiner of Divers, Medical Examiner for Merchant Shipping (ENG1),and Medical
Examiner UK offshore Operators Association (UKOOA).
I have recently developed an interest in Acupuncture which I am currently
studying with the British
Medical Acupuncture Society
I spend my leisure time pursuing my interests in sailing, mountain biking,
coastal walking, skiing and gardening. |
