EMIS
Access Page here
Falmouth Health Centre uses the EMIS clinical software system. EMIS is used
by most GPs in England and Wales. EMIS have developed a system called EMIS
Access which allows patients to book appointments, request repeat prescriptions, pre-register with
the Practice or amend registration details from the comfort of their own home.
The website has been carefully designed for ease of use for all types of people
and as many different browsers as possible. It is even possible to use EMIS
Access from some mobile phones. Unlike email, EMIS Access is encrypted to ensure
patient confidentiality.

be accepted.

Online prescription ordering with EMIS Access
Without visiting the practice, patients can use the internet to quickly order
any repeat prescriptions that are due. EMIS Access delivers the request directly
to the practice, and once processed, patients can simply collect the
prescription from the practice or from their chemist if they prefer.
You can also view any prescriptions you have already requested and check the
current status of your previous requests.
It is important that you check on line that your request has been accepted. If
there is a problem with your request we will post a message on your EMIS Access
prescription page.
Remember to allow 2 working days if you intend to collect your prescription from
The Health Centre and a minimum of 3 days if you have asked us to send your
prescription to a chemist for collection
Online appointment booking with EMIS Access
Registered patients can use the internet to quickly book some Doctors
appointments without phoning or visiting the Practice. The internet booking
service is available 24 hours a day and is especially useful when the Practice
is closed or phone lines are busy.
Please note that not all pre bookable appointments are available for on line
booking so if the day and time you need is not offered on line please phone the
surgery during normal hours.
Change of address
Patients can update personal details via EMIS Access. The change of address
facility enables patients to add or update address and contact details including
home and mobile telephone numbers or email addresses. Changes made through this
service are subject to authorisation by the practice.
