EMIS Access

EMIS Access Page here

Falmouth Health Centre uses the EMIS clinical software system. EMIS is used by most GPs in England and Wales. EMIS have developed a system called EMIS Access which allows patients to book appointments, request repeat prescriptions, pre-register with the Practice or amend registration details from the comfort of their own home.

The website has been carefully designed for ease of use for all types of people and as many different browsers as possible. It is even possible to use EMIS Access from some mobile phones. Unlike email, EMIS Access is encrypted to ensure patient confidentiality.

Sign up for EMIS Access

Before you can start requesting prescriptions online, book appointments or use any of the other EMIS Access features, you must first register your details for this service.

It’s quick and easy to register – simply follow the three steps below.
Remember, when using EMIS Access all your personal information is safe and secure.

Sign up in three easy steps

Step one:
Ask at reception for a sign-up form. This provides all the information you need to register to use the EMIS Access internet facilities. Please bring some form of identification.
Step two:
Visit the practice website at www.faldoc.co.uk
Then select ‘online facilities -  EMIS Access Page’ and click 'Create Your Account'.
Step three:
Enter your personal details exactly as they appear on the sign-up form. If the information does not match, your application will not be accepted.
You are now ready to use Online Access.
Once signed up, simply log on with your practice ID, patient ID and password.

Online prescription ordering with EMIS Access

Without visiting the practice, patients can use the internet to quickly order any repeat prescriptions that are due. EMIS Access delivers the request directly to the practice, and once processed, patients can simply collect the prescription from the practice or from their chemist if they prefer.

You can also view any prescriptions you have already requested and check the current status of your previous requests.
It is important that you check on line that your request has been accepted. If there is a problem with your request we will post a message on your EMIS Access prescription page.

Remember to allow 2 working days if you intend to collect your prescription from The Health Centre and a minimum of 3 days if you have asked us to send your prescription to a chemist for collection

Online appointment booking with EMIS Access

Registered patients can use the internet to quickly book some Doctors appointments without phoning or visiting the Practice. The internet booking service is available 24 hours a day and is especially useful when the Practice is closed or phone lines are busy.

Please note that not all pre bookable appointments are available for on line booking so if the day and time you need is not offered on line please phone the surgery during normal hours.

Change of address

Patients can update personal details via EMIS Access. The change of address facility enables patients to add or update address and contact details including home and mobile telephone numbers or email addresses. Changes made through this service are subject to authorisation by the practice.

New patient pre-registration

New patients can pre-register their details online. Pre-registration helps to ensure that all personal information is correct and saves administration time with the new record populated from the data received.
Once the registration has been accepted, patients can visit the surgery and simply confirm their details. (This service is not a registration for EMIS Online services which must be applied for once fully registered with the Practice)

Follow this link for pre-registration if you a new patient wishing to join the Practice  (Please DO NOT click here if you are already a patient at our Practice)
