Friends of Falmouth Health Centre
The Friends of Falmouth Health Centre was started in
1995 by a group of volunteers in order to raise funds to purchase equipment not
normally available within a General Practice, effectively reducing the need for
people to go on hospital waiting lists for pain relief, blood pressure and heart
irregularity monitoring. We have provided defibrillators and hearing assessment
equipment for the Practice and are supporting the Falmouth Hospital terminal
care bed appeal. We have also provided equipment for the wider Primary Care Team
including the District Nurses.
Between 1995 and 2002 we have raised over £30,000 for this good cause and we
aim to continue over the coming years. We would be delighted if anyone would
like to join us and become a Friend of the Health Centre, or for donations or
bric-a-brac.
